Meet your guide on arrival at the Colombo air-port. (Arrival at 21.25 pm)
Transfer to a beach hotel in Negombo.
Overnight stay in Negombo.
Aug 26;
After breakfast leave to Kandy.
En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where elephants are cared for. You
can also visit Elephant museum at Millennium Elephant Foundation.
Have a city tour in Kandy visiting the Temple of Relic.
View a spectacular cultural dance in the evening.
Overnight stay in Kandy.
Aug 27;
After breakfast visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens which houses a fine collection of
over 4000 species of exotic plants.
Leave to the Cultural Triangle via Dambulla.
En-route, visit a Spice Garden in Matale.
Visit the Golden Rock Temple, a cave temple which dates back to the 1st Century BC.
Its rock ceiling is one large sweep of colorful frescoes which depict Buddhist
mythology and the tales of the Buddha's previous births.
Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Aug 28;
After breakfast visit Sigiriya, a 650 feet high rock fortress in the sky, a masterpiece of
construction, artistry & irrigation. A world Heritage Site (5th Century AD). The world
famous fresco paintings of Heavenly maidens are housed in a cave.
In the evening explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, once the capital of an
advanced and prosperous medieval kingdom.
Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
Aug 29;
After breakfast visit Anuradhapura, First Capital of Sri Lanka in the 3rd Century BC
declared as a World Heritage Site.
Visit Sri Maha Bodhi, the oldest historically documented tree in the world, a peaceful
Palace, stupas, Ruwanwelisaya, Abeygiri & Jethawana Monasteries, finely preserved
rock-cut statues of Lord Buddha and ruins of palaces, Isurumuniya rock temple.
Leave to the air-port for departure. (Departure at 1.55 am on 26th)
