To ensure your journey is pleasant and trouble-free, we have
summarised the key features of Online Tickets for you:

1.) Before your first booking
You are cleared for the online ticket procedure as soon as you register.
To print your ticket after you have booked, you need "Adobe Reader"
software.
This can be downloaded free of charge from bahn.de.
Please remember that you always have to carry the valid identification card
stated in the booking (BahnCard, EC or credit card, ID card) together with
your
online ticket. Our train attendants are unable to accept online tickets
without the
correct identification. The online ticket is a personal ticket (also for
accompanying
passengers if applicable) and not transferable.
Please remember to update your registration data if necessary, especially
if your
identification card has changed.

Your Online Ticket is subject to virtually the same
conditions and expiry dates as a conventional ticket. If you reserve
a seat at the same time, the reservation will automatically be
included on your Online Ticket.

2.) Booking
To initiate your booking log in at the login screen with your user
name and password. Make sure when searching for a connection that
you also fill out your "Pricing information" (particularly your
BahnCard details) so as to obtain the best price for your booking.
If at any time you do not want to purchase an Online Ticket, you can
of course also choose to have a paper ticket sent out to you by
post. The delivery time for your travel documents is 2 working days and up
to
8 working days for orders from abroad.

3.) Inspections on board the train

The online ticket has a special code which also includes the identification
card
you have chosen (BahnCard, EC or credit card, ID card). The train attendant
checks
your ticket by reading the barcode and the identification card into his
control device.
Please present the ticket and identification card to the attendant of your
own accord.

4.) Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds of Online Tickets can only be made on the
Internet using the My Bookings function, or through our Service
Center. For details of the conditions governing returns and refunds please
refer to the Deutsche Bahn AG's Terms and Conditions.

    Note:
In accordance with tariff regulations, the seat reservation fee will
    not be recredited.

If you wish to obtain a refund on an Online Ticket after the first
day on which it becomes valid, send the ticket, including the refund
claim form, to the address given below. The refund claim form may be
downloaded from the Internet. Online Tickets cannot be
returned or refunded at ticket offices or travel agencies.

5.) When are Online Tickets not available?
When you make a booking our booking system informs you whether an
Online Ticket can be generated for your chosen journey. We are often
not allowed to offer Online Tickets for travel within municipal
transport networks or on routes operated by other rail companies.
In such cases the system will suggest an alternative (such as sending
the ticket by post). Online Tickets are not available for journeys
covering distances of less than 50 km or for international journeys.

6.) What happens if my computer crashes?
If your computer crashes while you make a booking, you can always
retrieve your ticket, right up to when its validity expires, under
My Bookings and reprint it as necessary. Or you can contact the
service address given below for further
assistance. We regret, however, that no technical computer
    assistance can be provided.

    7.) Your data
You can update your login details yourself at any time, for example if
you choose a new password or wish to change your user name. It is also
possible at any point for you to deregister from our Internet Shop.

www.bahn.de provides you with what are the highest possible security
    standards for your Internet orders.

    8.) More information
We have collated all the key information, tips and frequently asked
questions (FAQ) relating to Online Ticket on an information page at
http://www.bahn.de/onlineticket. On it you will also find a Guided
Tour, the Terms and Conditions applicable to Online Tickets, and
    much more.

If you have any queries please feel free to contact the service address
    given below.

We wish you a pleasant trip every time with Deutsche Bahn and your
    Online Ticket.
    Your team of www.bahn.de
