Keflavik airport

I have just finished my trip to Iceland. As far as I saw, you won't see any chairs or sofas, bars in the check-in area. After you clear the security control, you'll find lots of shops and so on.

I had same trouble regarding lodging in Reykjavik. I phoned over 20 guesthouses and hotels, and they were fully booked. I finaly found a very expensive hotel in there. For you confort, please pay a bit more effort to find accommodation in Reykjavik.

With respect to the prices in Iceland, please refer to my previous article #14488. Or just have a look on Lonely Planet. They are terribly, awfully expensive enough.

Maybe I suggest you don't have to carry so much cash. In Iceland, they take the plastic from internet cafes, hotels, restaurants, petrol stations, even in small amount of purchase. If you travel other than Reykjavik, the situation is the same. The only exception I've met is the local bus within Reykjavik city. You have to pay 220 ISK by cash, and they don't give a change.

As Japanese input method is not available here, I post this article in English.
