Please help me understand TRACE
I’m not understanding what kind of bus service this is. Can someone please help me?
This is a demand driven bus service that seem to be quite common in rural France. They have a timetable but they run smaller or larger vehicles or not at all depending on who books a seat over the phone in advance.

I've looked into them but never used one because my conversational French isn't up to a phone call with a dispatcher who probably won't speak English. Would be keen to hear from people who have used them.

This means it is a service which operates on request only. You have to call the number given no later than 5 pm the previous day to book it. If you do not the service simply will not exist.
